Check-In Champions

This 5-session program teaches 6th graders individual check-in tools to monitor and support their emotional well-being. Students will learn a variety of SEL strategies—mood meter, journaling, body scan, breathing techniques, and personal check-in planning—building self-awareness and self-regulation. Tier 3 (Individual Support) - each session is designed for one-on-one coaching in 30-minute blocks.

Feeling Like a Superhero

In this 45-minute Tier 1 lesson for 6th graders, students will identify their unique emotional strengths—“inner superpowers”—and learn how to use them to tackle everyday challenges. Building self-awareness and confidence, the class will engage in collaborative activities, a guided slide presentation, and personal reflection to discover and celebrate their strengths.
