In this 20-minute Tier 2 routine for a 5th-grade small group, students will use self-assessment charts to monitor and adjust their focus, energy, and organization mid-lesson. This empowers learners to become proactive in managing their executive function skills and immediately apply strategies for improvement.

Students will develop and practice perspective-taking skills by collaboratively building and analyzing stories through a structured Story Circle. This toolkit includes a lesson plan, engaging slides focusing on character viewpoints, a rubric to assess perspective-taking, an interactive storytelling activity, and a peer feedback cool-down. Appropriate for a 5th-grade Tier 1 classroom over a single 60-minute session.
