In this 30-minute, single-session lesson for 2nd graders, students will explore why plants need to move their seeds to new places and learn key vocabulary related to seed dispersal. Through interactive slides and engaging worksheets, students will define words like seed, plant, disperse, and discover how wind, water, and animals help plants grow beyond their birthplace.

In this single-session lesson, 2nd graders will explore the idea of family and community, learning how we all play important roles and support one another. Students will develop social-emotional skills as they identify different family structures, community helpers, and their own place in these networks. This foundational lesson builds empathy, respect, and a sense of belonging.
