Facilitator’s Introduction Script
Section 1: Launch & Purpose (2 minutes)
Teacher (warm, enthusiastic tone):
“Good morning, friends! Welcome to our Triumph Tracker time. Today, we’re going to become focus detectives. We’ll learn how to notice when we’re doing a great job paying attention and when we might need a quick refocus. When we track our small wins, we feel proud and get even better at our work. Let’s jump in!”

(Have students give a thumbs-up or clap.)
Section 2: Success Criteria Overview (3 minutes)
(Click to slide 3: “Our Self-Monitoring Steps.”)
Teacher:
“Next, I want to share our Self-Monitoring Success Criteria Rubric. Think of this rubric like a checklist to show when you’re on track. I’ll read each criterion. After each one, you can give me an example from your day.”

- Teacher: “Can someone share a time you worked without getting distracted?”
- “I noticed when I needed to refocus.”
- Teacher: “What’s one time you realized, ‘Oh—I’m off track!’?”
- “I checked off my progress in my journal.”
- Teacher: “How did you feel when you marked a small win?”
Teacher (smiling):
“You each have your own copy of this rubric. It’s your personal checklist. When you meet one of these criteria, you get to celebrate!”
Section 3: Guided Journal Reflection (7 minutes)
(Click to slide 4: “Today’s Reflection Questions.”)
Teacher:
“Now, please take out your Daily Triumph Tracker Journal. We’ll read three reflection questions together. You’ll write your answers, then check off any criteria you met. Ready?”
- What did I focus on today?
- Teacher (pause): “Think about your work time. Write one or two sentences about what you were zoomed in on.”
- (Allow 30 seconds of quiet writing.)
- Where did I get distracted?
- Teacher (pause): “Everyone gets distracted sometimes. Write a quick note about what pulled your attention away.”
- (Allow 30 seconds.)
- How can I improve my focus tomorrow?
- Teacher (pause): “Choose one idea—maybe setting a timer or taking a quick stretch break—and write it down.”
- (Allow 30 seconds.)
Teacher (circulating, offering encouragement):
“Great thinking, friends. Keep going—remember to check off any success criteria you hit!”
Section 4: Share & Closure (3 minutes)
Teacher (gather attention):

(Select 1–2 volunteers.)
Teacher:
“Thank you for sharing! Now, who has a goal for tomorrow—one way you’ll keep your focus strong?”
(Select 1–2 volunteers.)
