Activity

Unique Traits Pair Activity

In this activity, you'll work in pairs to identify and share unique traits that make you who you are. This helps us see just how diverse our class is and how every individual contributes something special to our community.

Instructions

  1. Find a Partner: Pair up with a classmate. If there is an odd number of students, one group may have three.
  2. Share Your Unique Trait: Each partner will share one unique trait about themselves. This could be a hobby, a talent, an aspect of your culture, or anything that you feel defines you.
  3. Discuss: After each of you has shared, talk about how these traits contribute to the richness of your community. Consider questions like:
    • How does this trait make you unique?
    • How might your trait or your partner's trait enhance a group or community?
  4. Reflection: Write down your thoughts about the conversation.

Reflection Questions

  • What did you learn about your partner that you didn’t know before?

  • How do you think your unique traits can enrich your classroom community?

  • Why is it important to share and celebrate our differences?

After the discussion, be prepared to share one insight or surprising fact you learned about your partner with the class.

Let's celebrate our diversity and learn how each unique trait contributes to making our community stronger!
