Learn effective conflict resolution strategies

This lesson is focused on teaching 7th-grade students effective strategies for resolving conflicts peacefully. Through role-playing and discussions, students will learn how to handle conflicts constructively.

Step 1

Introduction

5 mins

  • Greet the students and briefly introduce the topic of conflict resolution.
  • Explain why it is important to handle conflicts peacefully and constructively.

Step 2

Discussion

10 mins

  • Facilitate a discussion using the provided questions.
  • Encourage students to share their thoughts and experiences with conflict.
  • Discuss common sources of conflict and different ways people react to conflicts.

Step 3

Role-Playing Activity

20 mins

  • Divide students into small groups.
  • Assign each group a conflict scenario to role-play.
  • Give them a few minutes to prepare their skit and then perform it for the class.
  • After each skit, discuss what conflict resolution strategies were used and how effective they were.
