Self Esteem

In this lesson, students will explore the concept of self-esteem through a creative art project. Step 1

Introduction

5 minutes

  • Begin with a brief discussion on self-esteem and why it's important.
  • Ask students to think about what makes them special and unique.

Step 2

Self-Esteem Shield Activity

15 minutes

  • Provide each student with a piece of construction paper and art supplies.
  • Instruct them to draw a shield and fill it with symbols, words, or drawings that represent their strengths and positive qualities.
  • Encourage creativity and self-expression.

Step 3

Worksheet Completion

5 minutes

  • Distribute the Self-Esteem Worksheet.
  • Have students complete the worksheet, reflecting on their shield and what they learned about themselves.

Step 4

Closure and Exit Ticket

  • Conclude with a sharing session where students can volunteer to share their shields.
  • Hand out the Self-Esteem Exit Ticket for students to complete before leaving.
