“On behalf of our ACH Care Team, we are honored to be recognized for our innovative spirit and leadership in mental health and well-being based education. This recognition from Lenny Learning, affirms our commitment to ensuring that every young person participating in a camp program has access to essential well-being based supports and clinically sound expert care. This validates the collective efforts of our entire community (camp professionals, healthcare providers, and behavioral health specialists) who work tirelessly to prioritize youth well-being. It strengthens our resolve to continue identifying barriers, elevates care to ensure young people have positive childhood experiences at camp, while expanding access to evidence-based mental health resources across the camp and out-of-school time ecosystem of care.”
John Hamilton is the Chief Strategy & Engagement Officer at the Alliance for Camp Health, where he leads national initiatives to improve mental health and wellbeing across summer and out-of-school time (OST) programs. He developed CampWell, a multi-tier training model used by thousands of OST staff to build safe, connected, and supportive environments for youth, and facilitates train-the-trainer programs that equip leaders with tools for scalable impact. John also leads research and systems strategy efforts in partnership with universities, community orgs, and national networks to elevate youth voice and expand access to prevention-based mental health supports. His work brings a systems lens to youth mental health beyond the school day, shaping practices that now reach over 250,000 young people.
