Jennifer Blunt is a school-based social worker in Escambia County Schools, Alabama, where she supports students across a K–12 feeder pattern. As the district’s sole licensed counselor, she leads crisis response, provides counseling, and connects families to essential resources like food and housing. Jennifer plays a vital role in MTSS teams, helping staff understand the deeper needs driving student challenges. She also created a family needs assessment tool and is launching small group SEL supports in partnership with school counselors. Her work bridges individual care and systemwide support—bringing compassion, structure, and urgency to the district’s mental health response.
